Event kicks off at 9am, participants begin their ascent from the lower mountain base lodge to the top upper mountain. Climbing over 1600 vertical feet and descending back to the base lodge.

Gear- A/T ski gear or Splitboard required.

A fresh groom of the Gravel Pit Pond Trails was done this morning including a double width track to the end of the road. So far we’ve seen very little snowmobile traffic on the multi-use connector to town as most people use the more direct power line trail. Get out and enjoy! #fatbike #showshoe #xcskiing

Moosehead Outdoor Alliance is a local 501 c 3 non

Moosehead Outdoor Alliance is a local 501 c 3 non profit with the goal of designing, building and maintaining world class mountain bike trails in the Moosehead Lake Region. Officially formed in 2021, MOA has been working tirelessly to bring access to high quality trails to the surrounding communities and visitors alike. Working in partnership with the State of Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands, MOA has permission to build 25 miles of purpose built mountain bike trails in the Little Moose Public Reserve directly abutting the town of Greenville. In 2022 trail work began in "Zone 1" known as Gravel Pit Pond and by the end of the season we had roughly 8 miles of rideable trail. With the help of the Recreational Trails Program, MOA has received $120,000 in the form of a matching grant to further expend our network and in June of 2023 we hired two professional trail building companies to begin work in "Zone 2" located on the southern side of Little Moose Mountain. To date there is roughly 3.5 miles of intermediate and advanced trail built with more to come but only if we continue to get the needed support from our local community, regional visitors and grants from the state and federal level.
