Moosehead Outdoor Alliance will enhance the recreational offerings in the Maine Bureau of Parks and Land’s (BPL’s) Little Moose Unit’s Zone 2, just west of Greenville, through the construction of 7 miles of new, purpose-built, mountain biking trails. These trails will take advantage of the excellent topography of the southeast slope of Little Moose Mountain to offer mountain biking experiences suitable for riders of all skill levels.  The trail corridor has been laid out.

Moosehead Outdoor Alliance seeks a well qualified professional trail building contractor to make the vision for this project a reality and build the 7 miles of new purpose built mountain bike trails in Greenville Junction, Maine.  The successful candidate will have professional trail building experience with a robust portfolio of trail building projects that includes relevant work building mountain bike trails.  The successful candidate must be fully ensured. The successful candidate will have experience working within local, state and federal guidelines and environmental codes pertaining to trail construction.  Experience working with non-profit organizations and volunteer assistance is a bonus.

This project is partially funded by a the Federal Highway Administration’s Recreational Trails Program grant award RTP#2321.  The successful candidate must be able to complete the scope of work by October 2024 in order to satisfy the timeline dictated by this award.. The selected candidate will be responsible for proper bookkeeping, record keeping, invoicing, and permitting to satisfy all best management practices and RTP grant requirements.
